Contributions to usability of C.
Having had to rewrite GCC-conform code for VC60 (mostly relocating variable declarations by hand) I appreciate GCC not aiming for "purity".

Sorry, that's an a-priori fail in reasoning:

From the page: "ABOUT THIS BLOG
Free is price-less. 95% of the information you find up on this blog is made available to you without a price, that's why I call it price less."

I'm not taking the risk of wasting my time here. I rather read The Audacity Of Hope.

Free Monoids!
Just as you though you'd never see a useful example, this once comes along.
>> ...just say "commutative free monoid". This is usually a winning strategy at parties.

A friendly reminder from your Monoid society.

A "pidgin" extension for Java, computing undeclared variables by the values of their identifiers.
"'Pidgin', since human pidgin languages play in a similar way with natural language"

Now imagine setting up an extension that catches all of Java's "undeclared indentifier" errors and begins training their values depending on the expected result of the operation and the operators involved.
What you'd get would effectively be a natural-style language which happens to have Java-syntax.
(The degree of naturalization depends on how much fixed definitions you throw into it - maybe you want to leave your +,etc. operators undefined too...)
Color-Blind

Images hidden in luminosity-space, for only red-green colorblind to see.
The effect is similar to filtering GPS signals from background noise: as soon as I had flipped red and green and converted to image to greyscale, the circle was clearly visible. After that, knowing what to look for, I could find the outline of the circle in the colored picture.
